this film begin when ikal the little name of andrea hirata become student of senior high school in belitong. he is naughty male but clever and diligent student. he work everyday as fisherman in beach to collect money and become student of sorbonne university with ikal and jimbron. every go home from school they work together and study at home together. they close friend every time and in every bad situation or wrong condition. sometimes they make you laughing and crying at the same time.
because his naughty, his father ever disappointed with ikal’s score. ikal fell not comfort because it, so he run away to met his father and beg pardon. son and father in this scene make every one fell never give some more attention for their parents.
aku tak tau nak cakap apa lagi…terasa macam baru sambut ari ibu + bapa + tahun baru + kemeeeeerdekaan! and a surprisingly good performance of ariel peterpan dalam citer ni, who is well known as a singer, not an actor. because of their performance, i still give this movie a six instead of five (lebih bagus dari citer ariel peter-PORN) kahkahkah LOL.

terharu siot…lagu dalam filem ni sangat menyentuh jiwa aku tetiba, tertampar dengan lunak merdu suara java…bangsa indonesia menyanyikan lagu melayu yang penuh lenggok sukunya. dah lama aku jatuh chenta dengan “fatwa pujangga” sejak aishah nyanyikan dulu (bagi aku cukup lemak merdunya tiada tanding) i like this song... so classic …yet with nice new arrangement...lebih mengagumkan bila aku minta bantuan cik google nak cari penyanyi asal lagu ni and so suuuuuurprise s.effendi bukan orang malaysia malah lahir di besuki, jawa timur (tahun 1923 masterpiece ni dihasilkan)
